Here the floor is both rough and warm, all the patina of its age and crafted pattern colouring its substance, overlaid as it is with the scars that trace its rich history of activity. Meanwhile, in the garden the big square lawn beckons. In GROUNDED Waxy Pith  turns it eye to the horizontal plane below its feet as a most compelling resource, while simultaneously addressing the restrictedness of a hitherto unknown town and venue. With works that interfere with the ground, touch the ground or otherwise connect with the ground, interposed with those that seem to offer an instruction in fundamentals or contain an air of restriction, the works and the exhibition as a whole are grounded in every of its varied senses.

Stian Ådlandsvik is an artist with an archaeological bent. Wall works and sculptures variously materialise from historical and contemporary events and objects that he has evaluated and recontextualised. Reflections of the past intertwine with ideals and visions of the future. His works are often reorganised hybrids, in which the constituent parts derive from precise origins and connections he has explored and dissected, discernable  through  the unveiling of a certain logic or thought process.

Nick Defour is a performance artist whose work delivers a message that calmly refers to a significant moment or situation. The performances in his palette define a pure and direct message, while peacefully referring to a significant moment. His installation-performances are conceived in the selfsame spirit and intimately interwoven in his oeuvre, defining a physical trace, a sort of palimpsest or veritable relic.

Sophie Giraux is a moulder of poetry. Whether realised through video projection, sculpture or installation, each of her works is the pure manifestation of its poetic content. Sometimes at the core is a human story steeped in emotion or nostalgia, others times it is a current contemplation; always, the meaningfulness contained in its expression is ripe, and its physicality, while sound, possesses the patent quality of sheer ephemerality.

Pol Matthé makes original works that derive from his very own sourcing pool, where research and experimentation produce the active ingredients, and thence mutate or evolve. The work evolves while it exists, and, once presented, embodies the possibility to evolve again. An archive of components comprises his sourcing pool, for which research and experimentation produce the active ingredients.
